Fun Family Holidays
Jawakara is a tropical haven for all ages with a range of fun activities for the whole family. Kids will love the beaches and the clear shallow waters of the lagoon create the best swimming and splash pool imaginable. Dolphin spotting boat trips will spark the imagination and Jawa Kids Club provides a space where kids can stay and play whilst grown ups can escape for delicious cocktails or an indulgent spa treatment. The reefs provide a magical experience for older family members, who can snorkel or scuba dive amongst an abundance of colourful fish – children as young as 8 can join in the diving fun, exploring the underwater world. With a variety of water sports as well as relaxing activities, every member of the family can find something to enjoy at Jawakara – even teenagers will love it here with the exciting adventures available at Jawa Teen Club!
Jawa Kids Club & Jawa Teen Club
Jawa Kids Club provides an unforgettable experience for our VIP junior guests with an activity program full of fun and games. Friendships will be formed and treasured memories made when they set off on a coconut hunting adventure, laugh together during splash pad time, get messy whilst cooking and decorating with the chefs, mixing mocktails, building sand castles, creating with letter beads, playing mini football games, enjoying a junior golf experience and a buggy tour around the island! A private, chargeable, baby sitting service is available for parents with kids under 4 – allowing busy parents to enjoy some down time for their own activities.
Jawa Teens offers a range of activities for entertainment and adventure. Sporty teens can join the Golf Academy, football and footstall challenge, water polo, and pool zumba. Adventure seekers will love the thrill of fun tube rides, biking, fishing trips and uninhabited island picnics. Boduberu drumming classes, beach BBQs and craft activities, add to the entertainment for teens. Jawakara teens will always have something to do and never complain the are bored!

Family Dining
The culinary journey at Jawakara is for the whole family, and with our collection of flavours, restaurants, mocktails and destination dining adventures, kids can be every bit as involved as the grown-ups in enjoying gastronomic delights.
Both Mabin and Dheru islands have family friendly buffet restaurants and kids menus are also available for our younger guests at Molo for Mediterranean flavours and Umi 海 Restaurant which serves Asian Pacific cuisine. Children are welcome to join their parents in numerous dining activities including the Destination Dining Beach BBQ.
Exciting Family Excursions
Setting off on adventures together as a family creates life-long memories and at Jawakara we have a range of exciting excursions for you all to enjoy. Take the kids to a private sandbank and pretend to be Robinson Crusoe, immerse yourselves in the local culture during a visit to a local island – it’s a chance to appreciate the simplicity and harmony of their traditional way of life and an educational opportunity to show the kids the ‘real’ Maldives away from luxurious resorts. Go on a cruise at sunset to watch the spectacular colours of the sky reflect upon the ocean and with luck, a few dolphins may put on a show of jumping beside the boat or try the traditional handling fishing technique during a sunset fishing trip.
Scuba Diving for Kids
Join the experienced and professional team from Prodivers and see the treasures that lie beneath the surface of the Indian Ocean. Kids aged 8 and 9 can take part in the PADI Bubble Maker program and it’s as fun as it sounds! It is a great opportunity for kids to blow bubbles and experience the underwater world for the first time. Under the direct care and supervision of our Prodivers team, kids can use SCUBA gear to breathe underwater and swim around in the shallows around the island. Older kids (and adults too!) can take part in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving dives – it’s not a course so there’s no studying and no certification but all the fun! Turtles, rays and an abundance of tropical fish await.
